Motivation comes second on Motivation Radio, recorded in Los Angeles in July 1977 with Reggie McBride on bass, Joe Blocker on drums and Malcolm Cecil's TONTO synthesizer. It is where the album's turn toward funk is plainest: a driving rhythm section under Hillage's guitar and guitar synthesizer, with lyrics by him and Giraudy. Billboard picked it as one of the album's best tracks. He played it on the 1977 to 1979 tours and brought it back for the Steve Hillage Band's 2019 tour. The upload in the hypersongs web is the 2006 remaster.
