Michael Tipton recorded the shows on a reel-to-reel machine, and the tape later passed to Williamson. Skydog issued it in 1976 as a semi-official release. Side one holds the first half of the 6 October 1973 show at the Michigan Palace in Detroit, and side two the second half of 9 February 1974, the last Stooges show until 2003. The audience threw ice, eggs, beer bottles and jelly beans. The lineup was Pop, Williamson, Ron and Scott Asheton and Scott Thurston on electric piano.

Lester Bangs called it a documentation of the Iggy holocaust at its most nihilistically out of control. It sold more than 100,000 copies in America as an import in its first year. A double album, Metallic 2X K.O., gave both full shows in 1988, and Jungle Records reissued the album in 1998 with the shows in reverse order.
