Written about 18 months before its release on an acoustic guitar and a drum-machine sample pad, played with screwdrivers for sticks, it is the oldest song on It Goes On and the one the band had played live most. They called that a blessing and a curse. It had grown heavier and more aggressive on stage, so the recording stays fairly close to the live version. Haycocks sings lead with Anson O'Connell behind him. Bradbury said Haycocks struck the opening chord so hard that the guitar went out of tune and snapped back, and they did it only once. The song is about struggling to keep self-control.

Released on 1 July 2026 as the second album single, it came with a video directed by Jack Shep of SNL UK, in which a menacing spotlight chases the band's friend Will until he escapes into a new light with a new version of the band. Rolling Stone UK heard the band at their most unrestrained, and Beats Per Minute said it rescued the album after Big Wheels.
