Funny Little Frog

Funny Little Frog was the first single from The Life Pursuit, released in January 2006 on Rough Trade and produced by Tony Hoffer. It reached 13 on the UK chart, which makes it the band's highest-charting single there. It was recorded at The Sound Factory in Los Angeles, mixed at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and mastered at Metropolis in London. The artwork features Julie Coyle and Marisa Privitera.

The UK CD single carried Meat and Potatoes and I Took a Long Hard Look. The 7-inch had The Eighth Station of the Cross Kebab House on the B-side, a song written after members of the band visited Israel and the Palestinian territories in April 2005 with the charity War on Want. A different version of Funny Little Frog appears on Stuart Murdoch's 2009 album God Help the Girl.
