Rose in the Dark

Rose in the Dark was released on March 27, 2020 by Forever Living Originals and produced by Inflo. Wikipedia credits Sol with vocals, instrumentation and liner notes; The Arts Desk notes that the album seems to feature the same personnel as SAULT. The studio and recording dates were not found. Sol told Dazed in 2023 that Inflo pushed her to write from her own truth, and that she was so excited to put out something that was one hundred percent honestly her.

AllMusic's Andy Kellman gave it four and a half stars and named it among AllMusic's best of 2020. The Arts Desk's Joe Muggs gave it five out of five and wrote that it is a masterpiece and that Sol's voice is velvet throughout, hearing string-embellished psychedelic soul with a lovers-rock pulse. Clash ranked it 44th of 2020, Complex UK fifth, where Joseph Patterson called her an R&B icon-in-waiting, and God Is In The TV's Matt Hobbs called it a surprisingly glowing debut. The title track appeared in the fifth season of HBO's Insecure, according to The Blues Project.
