Wrong

"Wrong" was released on 17 June 1996 by Virgin as the second single from Walking Wounded. It topped the US Billboard Dance Club Play chart, reached number 2 in Italy and entered the top 10 in Canada, Estonia, Hungary, Israel and the UK. Thorn wrote the lyrics and Watt the music, and the album carries both the original and a Todd Terry remix.

Billboard's Larry Flick wrote that Thorn's vocal is a study in 1930s-era torch melodrama with just enough pop restraint to remain accessible. Pitchfork's Ruth Saxelby described it as a song about pushing love to its breaking point, lifted by a house piano riff, and said Terry's remix of "Missing" set the stage for it. In the video, several Thorns and Watts appear in a chrome-walled hotel suite, each version a ghost to the others.
