Play on hypersongs

After Gabriel left, the band rehearsed in Acton and auditioned singers, with Collins teaching them the songs; in the end he sang Squonk himself and took the role. Melody Maker's review was headlined Genesis is re-born, and the album reached three in Britain, higher than the Lamb. Bruce Gowers made three promotional films for it, including Ripples. Banks said it was very satisfying to show they could carry on, and Louder has called it one of the band's best.
