The soundtrack to Jerome Laperrousaz's 1972 French documentary about motorcycle road racing, starring Jack Findlay and Giacomo Agostini, was released in April 1972 on Philips and credited to Gong avec Daevid Allen. It was recorded and mixed in two days in the spring of 1971, shortly before Camembert Electrique was recorded. What Do You Want? is the same piece as Fohat Digs Holes in Space on that album, but without the intro, with different lyrics and played slightly slower, while Blues for Findlay is the only new composition.
Pip Pyle had been introduced to Allen by Robert Wyatt during the sessions for Allen's solo album Banana Moon in February. For legal reasons Allen gave the writing credits to Smyth.
