A.I.R. (Air in Resort)
A promotional LP made for a Shiseido perfume, and the first Yoshimura record Spencer Doran heard.
Hiroshi Yoshimura, 1984
- Released
- 1984
- Label
- Shiseido
Shiseido gave the record away to promote a perfume. Pitchfork describes it as a sonic complement to a fragrance, and the pressing came with a drop of the perfume in the inner sleeve. The labels carry the words not for sale. Yoshimura made the music and the sound design and wrote the insert notes, Seigen Ono mixed it and Naoto Sekiguchi produced. Side one is titled Forest Side and side two Sea Side. Spencer Doran said it was the first Yoshimura record he heard and that it blew his mind.
