Pier & Loft was recorded in Tokyo between September and November 1983 and issued on cassette by Fukusei Gijutsu Kohboh, catalogue FGW-2003. Yoshimura composed, arranged and performed it, with Yoshio Ojima as producer. Pitchfork calls it the muted soundtrack to a fashion show held in a warehouse on Tokyo Bay. A vinyl edition first appeared on Chee Shimizu's 17853 Records on 20 September 2017.
