Wicked City

The first release on Warp: five tracks by Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye, including "Acid" and "Robert" with Injury Reserve.
Jockstrap, 2020

Wicked City was released by Warp on June 19, 2020; DIY and NME gave June 5 in their coverage, but Wikipedia, PopMatters and MusicBrainz all say the 19th. It was produced by Skye. "Robert" was written in the summer of 2018 and "City Hell" in the summer of 2019 and finished in January 2020, and the pair have said the narratives run from sanity to madness, realism to surrealism, and innocence to experience. It was their first physical release, on vinyl. No recording studio is named in any source we found.

Reviews were strong: AllMusic gave it 3.5 out of 5, Clash 8 out of 10, Loud and Quiet 9 out of 10 and PopMatters 7 out of 10, with a Metacritic score of 80.
