The sixth track on Aha Shake Heartbreak was the first single from the album, released on 25 October 2004. It reached number 16 on the UK Singles Chart, number 23 on the US Modern Rock chart and number 32 in Ireland. Pitchfork's Stephen M. Deusner, who was critical of the album's lyrics, said The Bucket and Razz pop and bounce elastically. The album was recorded live in the studio with Ethan Johns, according to Rolling Stone. A remix of The Bucket by CSS, running 3:43, is on the iTunes extras EP for Use Somebody.
