The live tracks come from the Rainbow Theatre in London on 26 March and 3 November 1977, Oxford Polytechnic on 25 May 1978 and the Marquee Club in London on 7 August 1978. The Rainbow tracks of March 1977 feature Colin Bass on bass and Clive Bunker on drums, with Basil Brooks on flute and synthesizer. The 1978 tracks have John McKenzie and Andy Anderson as the rhythm section.

The fourth side was a studio recording made in late 1978, with Talking To The Sun, 1988 Aktivator, New Age Synthesis and Healing Feeling. CD releases dropped it and moved those tracks to Open. The album reached fifty-four in Britain.
