Released by Virgin in June 1995 as the first single from Exit Planet Dust, it reached number 17 on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart. It first appeared on NME Xmas Dust Up, a cassette given away in the Christmas 1994 issue of NME, when the duo were still the Dust Brothers. The recurring line about the brothers working it out comes from Blake Baxter's Brothers Gonna Work It Out, and it later gave the name to the duo's 1998 mix album. The track opens on a short sample of Kraftwerk's Ohm Sweet Ohm. Sabres of Paradise and Underworld both made remixes.
Martin James of Melody Maker wrote that it comes on like a fully loaded M-60 firing on a less than selective target. NME's Stephen Dalton heard shuddering Shaft basslines, bruisingly distorted breakbeats and choppy wah-wah trimmings. It has been used in the video games SSX 3, Wipeout 2097 and DJ Hero 2 and in the films Gone in 60 Seconds, High Fidelity and Any Given Sunday. A sample of it plays inside Galvanize. It was played in 72 of the 357 concerts that have a logged setlist.
