Bunyan sings and plays guitar and recorder. Christopher Sykes plays piano and organ, John James dulcitone and organ, Robin Williamson fiddle, whistle and Irish harp, Dave Swarbrick fiddle and mandolin and Simon Nicol banjo, and Kirby wrote the string and recorder arrangements for tracks one, six and eleven and played trumpet on track seven. It is UK only. Rediscovery made originals collectors' items; Wikipedia cites sales as high as about 3,946 US dollars on Discogs. AllMusic's Richie Unterberger called it a pleasing yet overly dainty slice of British rock-tinged folk, while AllMusic's score is five stars and Pitchfork's 9.0. The 2000 Spinney CD adds four bonus tracks, including "Love Song" and a 1967 Immediate acetate, "I'd Like to Walk Around in Your Mind".
