Picture Me Better

Track nine of Titanic Rising, written for a friend Mering lost while she was making the album.
Weyes Blood, from Titanic Rising (2019)

"Picture Me Better" is the ninth song on Titanic Rising, 3:41, written by Mering and never released as a single. She has said it is about a friend who died while the album was being made; in an NPR interview she described the chorus as waiting for some kind of sign from the great beyond that they are all right. Stereogum's review quotes the lines "Waiting for the call from beyond / Waiting for something with meaning / To come through soon".

It has been played 122 times on setlist.fm, ninth among her songs. At the Greek Theatre on October 4, 2023 it closed the encore, after a duet with Perfume Genius, and she played it in The Current's studio on May 21, 2019 alongside "Wild Time" and "Something to Believe". No video, covers or samples were found.
