In 1985 Krause sang the Brecht and Weill song on Hal Willner's Lost in the Stars: The Music of Kurt Weill. It also has a place on Supply and Demand, which runs 3:59 in its English version. John Dougan of AllMusic wrote that her elegant alto was perfectly suited to the emotionally and politically charged music of Brecht and Weill.
