Good Luck opens Kish Kash. Lisa Kekaula of the Bellrays sings it, and it was released on XL on 5 January 2004 as the album's second single. It was recorded at their studio in Loughborough Junction. Buxton said they had to kick off the album with something, and that whatever they chose people would say it was not house music. He said it was the most difficult track on the album. Kekaula sounded like a diva at first and they did not want that, so with two hours before she had to leave for America, Ratcliffe strummed an AC/DC riff and Buxton scribbled words. The London Session Orchestra played on it, with strings arranged and conducted by Wil Malone, and Nathan Curran played drums.
It reached number 12 in the UK, number 1 on the UK dance chart and number 2 on the US Dance Club Play chart, and it was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 47th Grammy Awards. An instrumental version was used as the theme of the BBC's coverage of Euro 2004, which led to a re-release that entered at number 14 on 4 July 2004. It also opened the anime film Appleseed. Pitchfork's Scott Plagenhoef called it a defiant, acerbic nu-I Will Survive.
