Rendez-Vu was released on XL on 2 August 1999 as the second single from Remedy, and it opens the album. It reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart and number 1 on the UK dance and independent charts and on the US Dance Club Play chart. The UK certified it silver in 2022. The single carried a radio edit and two B-sides, Miracles Keep on Playin', a Red Alert remix, and All U Crazies.
The video, directed by the American Evan Bernard, is set in a Hispanic town. A man's new lover has a jealous Mexican wrestler boyfriend, who smashes the man's hand, and it is replaced with a record needle. The two settle the matter with a best-of-three game of rock, paper, scissors, and in the last scene the story turns out to be a sleeping dog's dream.
