Renbourn produced the album himself. Side B opens with three pieces by O'Carolan, including Mrs. Power, also known as O'Carolan's Concerto, here transcribed for guitar. It closes with a medley of A Toye, which comes from Thomas Robinson's 1603 tutor Schoole of Musicke, and Lord Willoughby's Welcome Home.
John James plays guitar and shares the credit on John's Tune, and Dominique Trepeau is credited on Caroline's Tune, a duet. Bob Franks was art director, Paul Chave designed the sleeve and Paul Ellis supplied the illustration.
