Pitchfork's Stephen Deusner scored it 7.3, heard a crisp, live sound with the piano's sustain central on So Blue and Waiting, and noted that Parker sang five of the eleven songs. Metacritic scores it 80, and the A.V. Club's Jason Heller called it superb.
