All I Want
An E-bowed guitar line straight out of Bowie's Heroes, and a lyric about wanting someone back.

The fourth song on This Is Happening is built on a sustained, E-bowed guitar line that nearly every critic heard as a tribute to Bowie and Robert Fripp's Heroes, under vocal rounds that keep climbing. The Quietus called it wonderful art-pop and connected it to Eno's first two albums, while complaining that it ends in a haze of drifting synth. Murphy mixed it himself. It was not a single, but Pitchfork ranked it eleventh among the tracks of 2010.
It was recorded for London Sessions in June 2010 and played third from last at the Madison Square Garden farewell, just before Jump into the Fire and New York, I Love You; that version is on The Long Goodbye and in Shut Up and Play the Hits. It has been played live far less than most of their best-known songs.
