The Long Goodbye documents the band's farewell concert of 2 April 2011, released on 19 April 2014 as a five-LP set for Record Store Day. Pitchfork put its length at 187 minutes and called the show as much a party as a concert, adding that LCD were not a greatest hits band. Its running order includes Dance Yrself Clean, Drunk Girls, All My Friends, the 45:33 parts, Someone Great, Losing My Edge, Home and All I Want, and it ends with New York, I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down.
The running order also takes in an excerpt of Yes's Heart of the Sunrise inside Tired, Alan Vega's Bye Bye Bayou, Harry Nilsson's Jump into the Fire, and, on the final track, Twin Peaks music written by Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch.
