The album gathers tracks from her solo albums, the Union Station albums and an album with the Cox Family. Three recordings were new: a cover of the Foundations' Baby, Now That I've Found You, Bad Company's Oh, Atlanta and Broadway, written by Sidney and Suzanne Cox. It also includes her cover of When You Say Nothing at All, taken from a Keith Whitley tribute album, and a cover of the Beatles' I Will that first appeared on a Tony Furtado album.

Baby, Now That I've Found You won the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and When You Say Nothing at All was named Single of the Year by the Country Music Association. The CMA had nominated the album itself for Album of the Year, then withdrew the nomination because less than 60 percent of it was original material. It reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum. In 2017 Pitchfork pointed newcomers to it rather than to Windy City.
